Lahore Shalimar claw their way back

LAHORE: Lahore Shalimar were in control of the ninth round Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match against Hyderabad after Usman Salahuddin scored a century to lift the home team’s total to 355 here at the LCCA Ground on Monday.
Lahore finished its innings at 355 in 119 overs though they were struggling at 190 for six at one stage. They later reduced Hyderabad to 100 for four by the close of play. Usman resumed his innings on Monday to complete 134 runs and got 75 runs support from Saad Nasim.
For Hyderabad, Azeem Ghuman with 28 was the main contributor and with Lahore bowlers firing full throttle, the visiting team would be in trouble.

Lahore Ravi tighten noose around Peshawar: Lahore Ravi earned first innings lead after they bowled Peshawar out for 168 to earn full points on day two of the Quaid-e-Azam trophy match here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.
Lahore bowlers Asif Raza and Abdul Ghaffar shared four wickets each to destabilise Peshawar after scoring just 193 runs in its first innings and by the close of play Lahore were 14 for no loss runs in 2.3 overs.
