Fire destroys Rs 5 million factory machinery and weaving material

FAISALABAD – A fire sparked by short circuit in a weaving factory destroyed the weaving material and machinery worth Rs 5 million. Reportedly, Maqsood Weaving Factory at Faizabad in Ghulam Muhammadabad area caught fire at night due to short circuit.
The fire engulfed the whole factory within no time and destroyed the weaving material and machinery worth Rs 5 million. Rescue 1122 service fire fighters took six hours to bring the fire under control.
ROBBERS INJURE SECURITY GUARD: Robbers seriously injured a security guard who had overpowered a dacoit during a robbery attempt. Reportedly, the security guard Liaqat Ali was on night duty at a factory located near Pannu Chowk in Ghulam Muhammad Abad area.
At midnight, a gang of dacoits raided the factory but the security guard foiled their attempt and caught one of them red handed. When he was tying the captured dacoit with a plastic rope, his accomplices opened fire and injured him seriously. The gang freed their captured accomplice and escaped.
The brave security guard was taken to hospital by Rescue 1122.
GIRL GANG-RAPED: A young girl was gang-raped at her own house by two boys of the same village when she was alone. Reportedly, Kamran, a resident of Chak No 466 GB, reported to City Police Samundary that his unmarried teenage sister was alone at home when Khalid along with another accomplice scaled the boundary wall of the house. They locked the victim in a bedroom and raped her one by one at gunpoint.
WOMAN’S BODY FOUND IN CANAL: Dijkot police are looking for the heirs of a 30-year-old woman whose dead body was found floating in Rakh Branch Canal near Chak No 289 RB. The police said the body of the unidentified woman did not show any sign of injury.
The police reportedly made announcements through loudspeakers in all the mosques of the surrounding villages but no one claimed the body which was shifted to Allied Hospital mortuary for postmortem and further investigation.
