LONDON – Lily Allen is breathing a sigh of relief after reaching her holiday destination following a weekend of airport delays in London. The Smile singer arrived at London’s Heathrow on Saturday to discover wintry conditions had closed runways and caused several flights to be cancelled.
Allen and her boyfriend Sam Cooper’s travel plans were disrupted after they were forced to sit on their plane for more than three hours before all passengers were ordered back to the terminal. The star and her beau left the airport and returned on Sunday in the hope of being allowed to catch a flight – but they faced further problems.
But the 25 year old was finally allowed to depart from the airport and arrived at her destination in the early hours of Monday morning. Updating her fans on the microblogging site, she declared, “I’m on holiday. Thank the Lord.”
