KARACHI: Thousands of students, who had to appear in the BA, BSc, BDS and MBBS examinations scheduled to start from today (Monday), would have to wait till the new dates are announced. The delay in the announcement is reportedly due to the fact that the University of Karachi administration is yet to ensure security for the examination.
Fearing the untoward incidents during the examinations, the invigilators have refused to perform their duties due to poor security. The uncertain situation kept students perturbed as they, on Sunday, kept confirming whether or no the examination was going to be held on Monday. Earlier, KU Vice-Chancellor Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqu in a meeting on December 17 had decided to postpone BA, BSc, BDS and MBBS external examinations scheduled to be held from December 20 to 27. The new dates for these papers would be announced later.
