ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has summoned a high-level meeting today (Monday) to review the issue of gas load shedding and the Punjab chief minister (CM) has been given special invitation to attend the meeting.
According to reports, Federal Minister for Petroleum Syed Naveed Qamar, Petroleum Secretary Imtiaz Qazi, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited Managing Director (MD) Naeem Malik, Sui Northern Gas Private Limited MD Faizullah Abbasi and the representatives of the industrialists from Punjab would also attend the meeting.
Sources said that all reservations of the Punjab government and the province’s industrialists would be redressed during the meeting. The industrial and Compressed National Gas sectors would be taken into confidence regarding the new load management plan, sources added.
