60 ‘suspicious’ men held during Ashura procession

LAHORE – Law enforcement agencies have held around 60 suspicious men from the route of main Zuljinah procession on 10th of Muharram.
According to police out of 60 suspicious men, Police released 47 men after interrogations while shifted 13 men to unknown places for further interrogations.
Sources said that 8 suspicious men were arrested by the law enforcement agencies while roaming around Nisar Haveli, 38 were held roaming suspiciously in Andron Bhaati Gate Area and Tehsil Bazar, 2 suspects were held from different places in Sanda and 10 from Lower Mall Area.
Sources said that suspected which shifted to unknown places include Abdul Rehman, Ahmed Jaan, Muhammad Rasool and Abdul Manan. Sources added that four the aforementioned were residents of Khayber Pakhtonkhawah and were held discussing about explosive material on their phones while one man was found taking pictures of the routes.
