According to a rough estimate there are only 5percent of women in the police force, which points towards the need to hire more women. Considering the cultural environment of the country, women police force is a serious requirement. A number of women are not comfortable in the presence of male police officers, and they avoid visiting the police stations to lodge their complaints. So it is proposed that more women should be recruited in the police stations so that the requirement of the women that makes almost half of our population can be met. Proper training will ensure good temperament by the police force and this way the citizen-police relationship will be improved.
