Krishna discusses Kashmir with Wen

NEW DELHI – India’s External Affairs Minister SM Krishna brought up Jammu Kashmir issue with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao during his meeting, the Time of India newspaper reported on Thursday.
The paper reported that the Indian minister told the Chinese premier that Jammu Kashmir was still a core issue and “Kashmir to India is like what Tibet is to China.”
The minister also discussed issue of stapled visa to Kashmiris, living in Indian Held Kashmir, and boundary disputes with the Chinese leader.
China, India sign six pacts
After talks between Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and his Indian counterpart Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, China and India signed six pacts. Besides the MoU on green technology, the two sides also signed an MoU each on exchange of hydrological data of common rivers, media exchanges and cultural exchanges.
Two pacts were signed in the banking sector. These were an MoU each between Reserve Bank of India and Chinese Bank Regulatory Commission and EXIM Bank of India and Chinese Development Bank.
