It is a common belief that Pakistani police delays the lodging of an FIR on purpose because too many FIRs keep them on their toes all the time.
With the advancement in technology, things have gotten much easier. I believe there is a need of computerising the whole process of FIR lodging and complaint forwarding. This will not only ease the work load on the already underpowered police force but will also make the coordination much easier. With the recruitment of young police officers, the overall image of the police force is certainly improving and people are putting more trust in them. Being responsible citizens of the state, we must lend full support to the police force.
