ISLAMABAD: The district courts granted three-day physical remand of Ministry of Religious Affairs Joint Secretary Raja Aftab-ul-Islam to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for his alleged involvement in corruption while hiring buildings for Haj pilgrims in Saudia Arabia.
Raja Aftab who was heading a committee responsible for hiring buildings in Saudi Arabia for pilgrims was arrested the other day by the FIA. The FIA team on Friday produced the accused before the court of Senior Civil Judge Islamabad Kamran Basharat Mufti.
The FIA team sought 14-day physical remand of the accused. However, the court ordered three-day physical remand of the accused.
