LAHORE: Khan Research Laborites made steady progress on the opening day of the eighth round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Division-II match against Lahore Ravi here at the LCCA Ground on Friday.
Ali Naqvi and Ali Khan stabilized the innings after early jolts from Shabbir Ahmed who took three wickets while Asif Ashfaq also troubled KRL batsmen. He took two wickets. Ali Anqvi held the innings together from the top by scoring 59 runs and later Ali Khan from down the order added 78 runs. Saeed Anwar and Akhtar Ayub made useful contributions. Asif Raza and Imran Haider also shared one wicket each.
