ISLAMABAD – Intelligence agencies submitted a written statement before the Supreme Court regarding the 11 prisoners, who had been missing from the Adiyala Jail Rawalpindi since their acquittal on terrorism charges, a private TV channel reported on Friday.
Advocate Raja Muhammad Irshad, counsel for the Inter-Services Intelligence and the Military Intelligence, submitted the statement before the three-member Supreme Court bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, and said that he would share information regarding the case with the judges.
After getting information regarding the missing prisoners, the Supreme Court issued orders for permission for the prisoners to meet with their families, another channel reported. After examining the statement, the court postponed the hearing till the first week of January 2011.
