The TTP struck again and this time in Mohmand Agency killing more than 40 people and injuring many others. Doctors fear the death toll will rise.
It is largely being considered that this attack was a preemptive strike by the TTP to derail a security operation in the region. However the morale of the tribal people and the security forces is high and they will not be discouraged by this. It is unfortunate that suicide attacks have increased in the tribal areas, although there hasnt been a major attack in the cities.
Our security forces are doing a pretty good job and sooner or later the tribal areas will also be redeemed from the influence of the TTP. Peace committees that constitute tribal leaders and their forces have also played a useful part in identification and targeting of TTP members.
