Anti-corruption dept vows to eliminate corruption from Okara

OKARA: Anti-corruption Deputy Director Khalid Mehmood and Circle Officer Mian Muhammad Anwar, while talking to correspondents on International Anti-Corruption day, said that they were struggling hard to eliminate corrupt employees from the department.
Millions of corrupted amount has also been recovered from the corrupt employees, whereas, cases have also been registered against dozens of such employees, they said. Khalid said the majority of the complaints were from the Police Department and the Revenue Department which were investigated and the criminals were punished.
He was determined that the department will continue its struggle to eliminate corruption from Okara. He also sought the cooperation of the citizens and said that they should refrain from reporting false allegations so that unnecessary time wastage could be reduced.
DACOITS MUTE MEMBERS, LOOT VALUABLES: Nasir Masih son of Boota Masih, a resident of Christian Colony Eidgah Road, was sleeping in the night along with his family members when four armed dacoits entered his house and robbed eight tola gold ornaments worth Rs 320,000, Rs 450,000 cash and two mobile phones after roping the house members.
