LAHORE: The Royal Palm Golf and Country Club Wednesday hosted a reception in honour of the Asian Games gold medal winning Pakistan women cricket team. The girls and the coaching staff of the team were accorded standing ovation and were presented with shields. The team was accompanied by PCB Women Wing Chairperson Bushra Aitzaz.
The club’s media director Khawaja Parvaiz Saeed opened the welcome address and informed the ladies about the Royal Palm sporting facilities. He said apart from golf, the club has cricket, football and squash. He also mentioned the training camps that Royal Palm organises for kids during summer vacations.
He also invited the girls to train at the club’s cricket facility. Later, Director Marketing and Sales Faisal Umar, Director Golf Col Jamil Khalid and Ayaz Bajwa presented the shields to the team and the chairperson women wing.
