LAHORE: Two undergraduate students of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) were accepted at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) as International research fellows.
Dawood Tariq from the batch of 2009 and Mirza Basim Baig from the batch of 2011 have been working with Dr Zaffar on ‘provenance aware intrusion detection schemes’ since last year and have published their work in excellent peer reviewed conferences.
Basim spent the current semester at the Stanford Research Institute and is now returning to Pakistan whereas Dawood will return next year. Dawood and Basim are the first undergraduate students from Pakistan to have joined SRI as research fellows.
According to the LUMS administration, this is the beginning of a long and fruitful research collaboration with the Stanford Research Institute.
