LAHORE: Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore registered big wins on day six of the National Women Under19 T20 Cricket Championship 2010-11 at the Lahore Country Club, Muridke on Monday.
Peshawar stunned Faisalabad by four wickets. Peshawar reached the target in the final over after Faisalabad had made 100 runs for the loss of six wickets. Wajiha took Peshawar to a hard-fought win with her unbeaten knock of 37.
In another match Islamabad beat Quetta by 92 runs. Islamabad hammered 137 runs losing seven wickets. In reply Quetta were bundled out for just 45 runs. Sana Khan, Fizza Abid and Nadia Shah shared four, three and two wickets respectively in the win.
Lahore grabbed an eight wicket win over Multan. Multan piled up 115 runs for six wickets but their bowlers could not defend the total as Lahore achieved the score in the 17th over of the innings losing just two wickets. Sidra Amin and Namra Imran with unbeaten knocks of 47 and 32 respectively made things easy for Lahore while chasing the target.
Earlier Karachi women won by 59 runs over Faisalabad, Rawalpindi Women U19 beat Islamabad by 15 runs, Sialkot defeated Abbottabad by 7 wickets and Multan Women U19 routed Hyderabad by 136 runs.
