LAHORE: Prize distribution ceremonies to honour students who excelled in the Punjab Chief Minister Competitions were held across the province on Monday. Rs 70 million were distributed amongst winners of various competitions. More than 53,000 male and 56,000 female students participated in debating competitions held from November 3 to 25 while essay writing, sports and arts and crafts competitions were also held.
According to the Punjab government, the CM had directed officials to ensure the maximum involvement of students in co-curricular activities to polish their personalities.
According to details, the competitions were held in 922 centres and 127 Punjab tehsils. The second leg of the competitions would be inter-provincial and commence from December 20.
