BNU to award 18 gold medals at convocation

LAHORE: Beaconhouse National University (BNU) will be awarding 18 gold medals to its graduating students at its 5th convocation scheduled for December 8th2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the New campus, off Raiwind road, Lahore, in recognition of the academic excellence achieved by them in their specific fields.
This was decided today in a meeting of the steering committee. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Mr.Sartaj Aziz. Another distinguishing feature of this year’s convocation,which will be presided ver by Chairperson HEC Dr.Javed Laghari, is that out of 280 students who will be receiving their degrees more fifty percent will be receiving masters degrees with the rest receiving Bachelors degrees. BNU is the country’s first liberal arts university which was founded in 2003 and was given a charter by the Punjab government in 2005.
It was awarded ‘W’ category by HEC in 2008m, which is the top most ranking in the private sector universities.BNU’s cutting edge is its high renowned and trained faculty and academic freedom given to its students.
