LAHORE: Former Punjab chief minister and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that it was “almost impossible” to work with PML-N leaders Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking to reporters after offering condolences to the family of late Haji Maqsood Butt on Saturday, Elahi said the government was at the verge of financial collapse owing to faulty governance in Punjab.
He said if the PPP parted ways with the PML-N, Shahbaz would be back in Jati Ummrah. Elahi said price hike had made lives of the poor miserable and if the government did not take remedial measures, anarchy would spread in the society.
The PML-Q stood by traders over the imposition of the reformed general sales tax, saying the party would not leave them alone. He said the government did not consult traders before taking a final decision over the reformed GST.
