QUETTA: Ministers and members of Balochistan Assembly were warned of a ‘strict action under law’ if they continued to show lack of interest in the sessions by Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly Matiullah Agha on Saturday.
“Important session cannot be held because of their non-seriousness,” Agha said while talking to reporters, adding that strict action would be taken against the members who remain absent without a reason.
Explaining his position for proroguing the assembly session, Matiullah Agha said the session started at 11:03 AM with the presence of only 4 members, one of whom pointed out the lack of quorum. Under the rules, the chair is bound to prorogue the session in such circumstances.
He said that assembly members did not come in the assembly time which showed their lack of interest towards public issues.
