QUETTA: The Awami National Party (ANP) has suggested convening grand jirga of Pashtoon tribes for evolving a future course of action to block terrorism.
The suggestion came from ANP leaders, Balochistan Chief Organizer Arbab Abdul Zahir Kashi and Dr Inayatullah Kasi when they were attending the condolence reference of first death anniversary of ANP leader Azizullah Mama Advocate at Quetta Press Club on Friday.
They said that Pashtoons were being assassinated in Afghanistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi and Balochistan and now Pashtoon nation should take practical steps to strengthen their national struggle.
They added that late Aziz Mama played a significant role in Pashtoon’s national struggle after joining Bacha Khan and Wali Khan’s movement. They said the terrorists were not struggling to implement true Sharia rather they wanted to impose their own brand of Islam on the people.
They said that two MPAs, the only son of Mian Iftikhar and 800 workers of ANP had been martyred in KPK but still ANP was facing the terrorists and extremists with great courage and determination.
