Judicial remand of Hamaish Khan, Nisar and Afzal extended till December 11

LAHORE: An accountability court on Monday extended the judicial remand of former President Bank of Punjab (BOP) Hamaish Khan, and former honorary consulate in Qazikistan Seith Nisar, and Sheikh Muhammad Afzal till December 11. The Accused are alleged to be involved in the BOP fraud case in which Rs 12 billion has been embezzled.
American nationality holder Hamesh Khan is the key figure of BOP fraud case in which 12 billion rupees have allegedly been embezzled. Hamish is alleged to have illegally issued loans amounting to Rs 6.20 billion to Sheikh Muhammad Afzal, the owner of Haris Steel Mills and Haider Steel Mills.
Seith Nisar is alleged to have defaulted on a loan of Rs 930 million, which he illegally attained in connivance with senior officials of the bank. The court directed the NAB to file the reference against the accused in court by the next date of hearing, December 11.
