QUETTA: Five Punjabi speaking people were killed and another two injured in Mund Bolo town of Balochistan on Sunday.
The town lies close to the border town with Iran, around 650 kilometers west of Quetta. The Ill-fated group of labourers had returned from Iran and was waiting in the office of a transport company when they were attacked.
The men belonging to Lahore and Faisalabad were waiting for a Karachi-bound bus. “These people had just entered Pakistan from Iran and were about to make their next journey to Karachi when two masked men riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on them, killing five of them instantly and injuring two others,” Mohammad Rafiq, tehsildar of Mund said.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Turbat later. “The condition of both the injured is serious,” Rafiq said. Four of the deceased were identified as Mohammad Nadeem of Lahore, Naeem Ahmad of Faisalabad, Hasan of Lahore and Iskunder of Lahore, while the identity of the fifth could not be ascertained. The injured were identified as Khalil Ahmad and Mohammad Waseem.
