Various terrorist activities in Pakistan have made life miserable for the common man. No one is safe, not even in the mosques which have traditionally been considered a place of refuge and peace in Islam. The citizens dont feel safe in markets, parks, streets, and to some extent, in their homes. These so-called torch bearers of Islam have net even left the educational institutes out of their reach.
They bombed three primary schools in the tribal region of Mohmand agency. The school buildings were completely destroyed. There have been 65 schools destroyed in Mohmand agency since 2007 which is completely halted the educational work in the area.
Education is the key tool for Pakistan which poses grave threat to the terrorist organizations. The Taliban identify that quality education will expose their distorted teachings which their extremist agenda is relying on.
As a concerned citizen who believes in equal opportunity of education for all, I urge the authorities to take concrete steps for the protection of these schools.
