LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believes in serving the masses and not in acquiring power or amassing wealth, Federal minister for Law and parliamentary affairs Babar Awan said while talking to reporters after visiting PPP’s Malik Mushtaq Awan on Tuesday
People were sick of the Punjab government and were resorting to suicide, he alleged, adding that 1000 had already taken their lives. “I fear the day when Punjabis will start committing collective suicides because of the Punjab government,” he said.
The politicians need to look at greater interest of the public, he said, warning that the prices of poultry and eggs, like sugar, could also go up because of the involvement of politicians in the business. PPP believed in politics of reconciliation and will continue to make decisions in favor of the people of Pakistan, he said.
