22 more missing persons traced

ISLAMABAD: The Inquiry Commission on Forced Disappearances has traced 22 missing persons and the number of persons recovered by the commission in the last seven months has reached 97.
Well-placed sources told NNI on Sunday that the commission had traced 22 more forced disappeared persons in October. In this regard, a four-day meeting of commission, chaired by Justice (r) Kamal Mansoor Alam, was held from November 1 to 4. It was attended by Justice (r) Nasira Javed Iqbal, Justice (r) Fazlur Rehman, Commission Secretary Farid Ahmad Khan, district police officers (DPOs) and other officials of the law enforcement agencies of districts concerned.
In the meeting, 22 were identified. Sources said 181 cases had been registered with the commission during the last seven months, however, 75 persons were excluded from the list because they were not lifted by state departments while another 23 were deleted from the list due to incomplete particulars.
Those traced include Habibullah s, Ghulam Mustafa, Abdul Rasheed, Inamullah Khan, Kismatullah Khan, Wahidullah Khan, Farzad Ali, Tajamul Tauqeer, Khan Ghalib, Muhammad Haroon, Rashid, Muhammad Azeem, Said Alam, Sheikh Zeeshan Siraj, Tasawar Iqbal, Imran Siddique, Shahid Alam, Muhammad Muslim, Muhammad Sajjad, Tariq Naveed, Abdul Shakoor and Shujauddin.
