WASHINGTON: Expressing disappointment over US President Barack Obama obvious sidelining of Pakistan in his visit to Asian countries, former president Pervez Musharraf said that “it does not resonate well with Pakistanis.”
Musharraf also criticized Obama for not speaking about Kashmir, “Clearly people will take this to mean that United States or its president is not concerned,” he said. Obama was en route Friday for Mumbai and New Delhi on a trip aimed at convincing India that he wanted to improve relations between the two countries.
The United States has tried to dent Pakistan’s rampant anti-Americanism by approving a 7.5 billion-dollar aid package aimed at building schools, infrastructure and democratic institutions.
