ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s chief negotiator on nuclear security summit process and Ambassador to China Masood Khan reached Buenos Aires for attending the two-day Nuclear Security Summit Sherpa meeting that started on Tuesday, according to a news release, released by the media department.
Representatives from 47 countries and three international organizations are taking part in the meeting that is being co-chaired by representatives of the United States, host of the first Nuclear Security Summit, and of the Republic of Korea.
The meeting is a result of an agreement reached between the Heads of States during the Nuclear Security Summit held in April 2010 that a follow-up Sherpa Meeting would be held before the end of 2010. Representatives of Strategic Plans Division and Foreign Office are part of the Pakistani delegation.
