PESHAWAR: An amount of Rs 2.5 million has been allocated by the Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa government for the renovation and preservation of Hindu temple in Gorghathari, Peshawar High Court was informed on Tuesday.
A sample application had been filed by Phool Vati, a Hindu woman, pleading before the Peshawar High Court that the temple had been declared their personal property in 1955 but was occupied by the provincial government. The local Hindus will not be able to celebrate the upcoming Dewali (Hindu festival) in that temple, she said.
