MUMBAI: Jilted lass Deepika Padukone is all set to relive her bitter experiences on reel for her character in ‘Break Ke Baad’ is closely modelled on none other than her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
In ‘Break Ke Baad’, Deepika plays the character of a commitment-phobic girl – Aalia, which mirrors her ex-beau Ranbir, who is infamous for his commitment phobic ways in Bollywood. Deepika and Ranbir were in a serious two years relationship before the Kapoor scion ditched the Bangalorean beauty.
Apparently, when Deepika heard ‘Break Ke Baad’ director Danish Aslam’s narration, she couldn’t believe her ears when she saw the uncanny resemblance between Aalia and Ranbir. After much thought and serious consideration, Deepika took the role as a challenge.
Talking to a daily, a close friend of Deepika said, “Knowingly or unknowingly, she has added some nuances to her character in the film that are straight out of her past love affair with Ranbir.”
RK tattoo to stay!
Deepika Padukone is a beauty who knows her mind. In the peak of her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor she had the initials RK tattooed on the nape of her neck. And, of course, the tattoo created quite a stir. Immediate comparisons were drawn to Hollywood heartthrob Angelina Jolie getting the name of her actor-husband Billy Bob Thorton tattooed on her private parts when the two were married.
Now comes the difference. When Angelina moved into her relationship with Brad Pitt, the actress who wears several tattoos all over her body, got the Billy bit lasered. And while Deepika admits that her break up with Ranbir is final… and that it is a good thing, she is not about to laser the RK that she wears even today on her back.
The gorgeous actress confessed to Karan Johar on his talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ that she will not take off the RK no matter what. Deepika apparently also admitted to having moved on in life. Their relationship is over but the RK (tattoo) will stay!
