NA’s 26th session begins today

ISLAMABAD: The first sitting of the 26th session of the National Assembly scheduled to be held today will be adjourned after offering fateha for late parliamentarian Farooq Leghari.
Leghari was the member of the National Assembly and died on October 20 due to protracted illness. According to parliamentary traditions, lawmakers from different political parties will pay tribute to the services rendered by the late president for the country.
National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza has also summoned a meeting of House Business Advisory Committee in her chamber today. The meeting has been called to finalise the agenda and schedule of the NA session that would be attended by parliamentary leaders or the chief whips of the treasury and opposition parties. The 26th NA session would last until November 12.
