The nurses said that Dr Nusrat was given an unfair promotion as he was a grade 17 employee who was enjoying the status of a grade 19 employee. They also disclosed that Dr Nusrat habitually humiliates and abuses the young nurses in the hospital.
They said that some 26 day’s back the MS called a nurse to his office and not only misbehaved with her but also slapped her across the face. The nurses then reported this to the press and decided to hold a demonstration against the MS.
One of the nurses, seeking anonymity stated that Dr Nusrat also attended the function held at Zameendar College and on seeing the protest stated ‘you can’t do anything against me’. The nurses continued their protest till the evening and dispersed peacefully after receiving no response from the CM or the prime minister.
