Plotting for plots

According to a press report the government has allotted more than one plots to judges of the Supreme Court. The last government allotted plots to 450 bureaucrats in the most expensive sectors in Islamabad.

The plots are also given to the defence personnel. The army generals are given commercial and residential plot at nominal cost in the Defence Housing Authorities in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Some of these commercial plots were given at the meagre amount of Rs two million which were then sold at Rs 60 to 80 millions.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is now investigating the details of the plots allotted to judges and bureaucrats. My question is why the PAC is not investigating the plots allotted to the defence forces officers?

Every Pakistani has equal rights to the national assets. Why the have-nots are not given plots to change their fortunes? Who stopped the Prime Minister not to make a special plot packages for the poor? Why the land owned by the federal and provincial government is not distributed to those who have no houses of their own?
