LAHORE
Federal Law Minister Babar Awan has threatened in-house change in provinces if any such attempt is made against the Pakistan People’s party (PPP) led federal government.
“Those talking of an in-house change in the federal set-up for the last two months should try their luck as it is their constitutional right. But they should keep in mind that the practice can be replicated in the provinces,” he told the media after visiting dengue virus patients in Sheikh Zayed Hospital here on Wednesday.
Answering a question about Transparency International’s recent report, he said he did not accept the reports prepared in one-man, one-computer and one-room offices. He said since Pakistan was progressing, such reports were deliberately being released to tarnish the image of the country abroad.
Commenting on his meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) group, he said those who were criticizing were carrying a baggage of 40 turncoats and needed to think of the skeletons in their own closet before commenting on other people.
