LONDON
Music mogul Simon Cowell is planning to launch National Lottery-style game show on television. According to sources, Cowell has been in talks to make a glitzy interactive prize draw programme along with cash prizes.
The scratch cards will apparently be sold before the show to give viewers the chance to play along. Cowell admitted his interest in the idea last week while being quizzed by journalists.
“I have to be very careful about what I say in advance because, the minute you announce something, somebody else comes along and pinches it,” he said. “And I don’t like to hype these things – if they work, they work. I want the public to discover them for themselves.”
A source from Cowell’s production company Syco said, “Simon’s really excited about bringing a new game show to our screens but everyone is sworn to secrecy. He hopes it will be good enough to grab the nation’s attention and be as big as The X Factor.”
