KARACHI
The Pakistan People’s Party-Sherpao (PPP-S) demanded a judicial inquiry into the recent assassinations in Karachi and also suggested that a reconciliation commission should be set up, comprising political parties and civil society organisations to resolve the issue.
The residents of Karachi, especially those who came from Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa, were facing a very difficult situation said PPP-S President and former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao while addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Monday.
Sherpao said that some political parties were part of the government both in the centre and the province and it was their duty to resolve the law and order problem in Karachi.
He said that compensation should be paid to the families of those who were killed in the city.
