ISLAMABAD: All roads will lead to the Supreme Court today (Thursday) where a 17-member larger bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, will announce its verdict on the 18th Amendment challenged by more than 16 petitioners.
The court would also define and determine the exact ambit of the SC authority for reviewing the mechanism approved by parliament. All parties concerned would appear before the court on notice.
Earlier on September 30, the larger bench had reserved its verdict after over four months of hearing on petitions challenging various provisions of the 18th Amendment.
