The recently reported case of a police candidate dying in a 1 K.M. race designed by the so called wizards of police was a very sad piece of news. The heart rending scenes of dead mans sisters crying was a most depressing spectacle. The police officers arranging the marathon ought to have known that the village youth who apply for police jobs are not athletes that were accustomed to long spell of exercises and are as such vulnerable to severe stress leading to heart failure in case of running at break neck speed. This was just murderous to make candidates run for their lives to secure a low paid job.
It amounts to criminal neglect on the part of those who planned the marathon race for poor candidates who were mal nourished belonging to 50 million poor masses. To drive them to death by running is cruel and callous and those responsible must be taken to task.
