The PML(N) and the press came down so hard on the PM, when he appointed Adnan Khawaja, that he had to withdraw the notification within a week.
There is no doubt in anybody’s mind that this was a gross irregularity, considering the fact that the man was just an FA, apart from his criminal history. A lot of protests were also made on the appointment of Chairman NICL, who had served as a manager of a night club in the Gulf.
The appointments of other cronies, who were not even graduates is also on record. But the silence of PML(N) over the appointment of an FA pass crony as Chairman SNGPL is intriguing, because the gentleman happens to be a brother-in law of a prominent PML(N) MNA from Lahore and the former Attorney General of Musharraf. Why these double standards by our opposition?
