‘Suspend all lawmakers not submitting degrees’
ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Standing Committee on Education Chairman Abid Sher Ali on Tuesday demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to suspend membership of all those parliamentarians who are yet to submit their academic certificates to the Higher Education Commission for the verification process.
Talking to reporters after the committee meeting, Abid said that as the ECP suspended membership of more than 140 lawmakers for failing to submit details of their assets, it should similarly suspend membership of those lawmakers who were yet to submit their degrees.
