Kinnaird college (KC) sports club organized the annual Swimming Gala, 2010. Principal KC Dr. Rukhsana David presided over the event.
The event was organized by Nosheen Hanif, Sports President Hira Niaz and College Faculty members.
Alzalfa Shafi of FSc II, won the ‘swimmer of the evening’award. FSc II was awarded the ‘best class trophy’.
A large crowd came to witness the gala. The event comprised of various races and competitions including pearl diving and gymkhana race.
Hira Nur, Huda Khan and Azalfa Shafi won the breast stroke competition. Azalfa Shafi, Samah Rizwan and Nimra Hamid were awarded the top three positions in the back stroke competition.
The butterfly stroke race was won by Azalfa Shafi, Hira Nur and Nimra Hamid
Huda Khan, Momeenah Bilal and Nimra Hamid were awarded the first three positions in the pearl Diving competition Azalfa Shafi, Hira Nur and Nimra Hamid won the free style competition.
The red team comprising of Nimra Hamid, Samah Rwan and Huda Khan won the relay competition whereas the green team which comprised of Natasha, Amin, Hira Nur and Anum Aftab was awarded the second position and The ‘Pink Team’ comprising of Momeenah Bilal, Azalfa Shafi and Mustabeen Iqbal was awarded the third position
The gymkhana race was won by Azalfa Shafi and Principal KC Dr. Rukhsana David,
followed by Anum Aftab, Sara Aftab, Afsheen Nazeer and Taskeen Nazeer as the runner-ups.
