KARACHI:
Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Pagara has postponed his plan to visit Lahore and meet Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif.
“Pagara was planning to leave for Punjab on October 15, but will now wait until Nawaz returns to Pakistan,” Munir Ahmed, spokesmen for Kingri House, told Pakistan Today.
The task of arranging a meeting between Pagara and Nawaz has been handed over to Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood and Pagara is expected to convince the Sharif brothers to join the alliance of Muslim leagues.
Over the last one month, Kingri House has stepped up political activities and PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Syed met the PML-F chief in Karachi on September 17 to discuss the possible alliance of PML factions.
On September 28, PML-Q Likeminded leaders Saleem Saifullah Khan, Humayun Akhtar, Arbab Zakaullah, Razzaq Rahamoon and Ejazul Haq of the PML-Z also called on Pagara.
