Remember the film being made on Adolf Hitler, called “Dear Friend Hitler”, which created so much controversy that Anupam Kher, who was supposed to play Hitler, backed out? Now, the title role’s being played by Raghubir Yadav, who is finding it a bit tough to play the Great Dictator.
“I usually don’t fear taking up roles that are difficult, so I agreed for this one,” says Raghubir. “The character I play is totally different from who I am,” he rues light heartedly. The actor failed to understand why the film’s in Hindi, but was told that if Ramayana and Mahabharata can be made in English, then why not this film in Hindi? However, there’s no special look or makeup for this role. “While doing theatre, I was taught that looks don’t matter as long as you are sincerely working on acting. If you are deeply involved in your role, it comes on your face as well,” he explains.
