HBL loses in dying hours as PEL draw fixture

PMC Athletico Club hit late winner to beat HBL 1-0 at PMC Football Ground Faisalabad and PEL drew 1-1 with Chaman’s Afghan FC at Model Town Football Academy Ground, Lahore in the Pakistan Premier Football League on Friday.
KPT struck four goals through four different players to overpower Navy 4-1 at Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi and later on, a scoreless draw was played between KRL and NBP as four more matches were decided in Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) 2010
PMC Athletico Club managed their second win in the competition when they brushed aside HBL 1-0. The all important goal was scored by winger Ahmed Raza in the 77th minute. HBL had also forced opportunities but PMC’s keeper Wasim Akber was equal to the task. Both the teams, lurking in relegation zone, completed their seven matches with HBL making two points as compared to PMC’s six.
The exciting PEL-Chaman’s Afghan FC clash saw both the goals in the second session. Under international Jadeed Khan, playing as right winger, Afghan did well to stop PEL from scoring in the first session but second half substitute Riaz Ahmed changed the pace of the match with goal three minutes after re-start, beating keeper Jehangir Khan from close-range. But Afghan went all out in quest of leveler and drew level through a 60th minute set-piece. Jadeed curled the right-wing corner that caused panic in PEl’s defence and winger Fazal Rehman tapped the ball into the path of midfielder Abdul Hadi who drove it past keeper Saqib Hanif. Second in 16-team table before the kick off, Afghan maintained their position and grabbed 17 points in seven matches as compared to PEL’s 11 in as many outings.
