Charsada farmers demand Ghani’s attention

A delegation, representing the Sarhad Chamber of Agriculture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani at the Governor’s House in Peshawar, on Friday, asking him to pay heed to the problems being faced by farmers, especially in Charsada and its surrounding areas.
The Governor appreciated the farmers coping with the current situations and ensured every possible support and patronage in resolving their grievances. He especially referred to their demand for the timely provision of a sufficient quantity of wheat seeds and fertilizers. He said that “this is an immediate need and necessary steps will be taken to resolve these problems”
The six-member delegation was comprised of General Secretary Mr. Abdul Rahim Khan, Vice Presidents Mr. Zahir Khan Wardaga and Mr. Fazal Elahi Khan, Joint Secretary Mr. Naeemullah Durrani, and member of the Chamber Haji Muhammad Nazir Khan. They invited the attention of the Governor towards multiple problems being faced by farmers in a post-flood situation, especially due to the damaged irrigation systems.
