KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday filed a reference in the accountability court against former Malir deputy commissioner and 12 others accused of allotting 27 plots illegally in Scheme no. 31 and 33.
The NAB has claimed that former Malir DC Qazi Jan Muhammad, former Mukhtiarkar Abdul Latif, Nazar Amin and Iqbal Awan had allegedly allotted 27 plots illegally from two schemes and they were involved in corrupt practices worth Rs 3.25 billion.
The accused also gave loss of Rs 2.5 billion to the national exchequer by illegal allotment of plots and divided Rs 7.5 million among each other in connivance with builder mafia, the bureau added.
The NAB said three more accused are absconders in the case.
