Two cops arrested for ‘kidnapping for ransom’


Cops from Sindh, Punjab and the capital have allegedly indulged in kidnapping for ransom following which two alleged gang members have been arrested.

Asad, a property dealer, had been kidnapped allegedly by two cops in uniform and one other following which he was detained in a house for four days.

The victim’s brother paid Rs0.4 million as ransom after which a case was registered against the accused.

The accused include six cops including an ASI, a head constable and four constables.
