Pakistan, Australia discuss defence cooperation

  • Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin calls on General Qamar Bajwa

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Australian Defence Force Air Chief Marshal Mark Donald Binskin called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa here on Tuesday and discussed with him matters of bilateral interests with emphasis on security related matters.

During the meeting held at the General Headquarters of the Pakistan Army, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin exchanged views with General Javed Bajwa on issues of mutual interest including defence and security cooperation between the two countries and overall regional security situation.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated the Pakistan Army’s efforts and sacrifices in war against terrorism and for stability in the region. On arrival, the Australian dignitary laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin.
