Snowfall, dense fog disrupt normal life in parts of country

LAHORE: A fresh spell of snowfall and dense fog has engulfed the country, which is now disrupting the routine life of people, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Heavy snowfall in Naran is causing major difficulties for tourists, as roads leading to and from the area have been completely blocked.

The motorway has also been closed at various points due to dense fog whereas drivers have been warned to take precautionary measures while travelling.

According to the PMD, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country for the next 24 hours. Foggy conditions are likely to prevail over the areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.

Yesterday’s Lowest Minimum Temperatures were: Astore -09°C, Kalat, Gupis, Quetta -08°C, Gilgit, Hunza -07, Bagrote -06, Kalam -05, Dir -04.
